February has truly been one for the books! I had the absolute honor of attending my first Sephora Impact Summit as a member of the 2025 Sephora Accelerate Cohort, and I’m still processing all the magic.

Walking into a space filled with visionary founders, mentors, and thought leaders in beauty was deeply affirming. As the founder of The Potion Studio, it’s moments like these that remind me how far we’ve come — from experimenting with hair potions in my kitchen to sitting among some of the most inspiring names in the industry.

The energy in the room was electric. I got to connect with beauty entrepreneurs I’ve long admired, exchange ideas, and share in honest conversations about what it means to build a purpose-driven brand in today’s world. It fueled my passion even more to continue growing The Potion Studio into a clean, textured haircare brand that isn’t just about great products — but about real impact, representation, and community.

I’m incredibly grateful to Sephora for creating intentional spaces like this, and for supporting emerging founders of color through programs like Accelerate. This journey has been full of learning, unlearning, and dreaming bigger than I ever thought possible.

What an incredible honor it was to speak at Cosmoprof North America and share my story as the founder of The Potion Studio. Being invited to speak alongside fellow inspiring founders Jadis Montijo and Marsha McBain made the experience even more special — a true celebration of women building powerful, intentional beauty brands.

Our panel conversation focused on the behind-the-scenes of entrepreneurship, the reality of building a brand from the ground up, and the impact of programs like the Maesa Magic Incubator, which has played a major role in The Potion Studio’s growth and evolution.

The support, mentorship, and visibility this incubator has provided have been truly transformative. From brand strategy to real industry access, Maesa has given us space to dream bigger and move with confidence — and for that, I’m deeply grateful.

With a focus on founders of color, the program offers mentorship, merchandising support, grants, and investor connections, culminating in the opportunity to launch at Sephora North America upon completion. This initiative aligns perfectly with our mission to provide inclusive and effective hair care solutions for all.​

Being part of this year's cohort is an honor, especially alongside such innovative brands across hair care, makeup, skincare, and fragrance. The program's commitment to diversity and empowerment resonates deeply with our values at The Potion Studio.​

Reflections from the Future of Commerce Executive Leadership Program

I still can’t believe I’m writing this — but yes, I had the absolute honor of attending the Future of Commerce Executive Leadership Program at Harvard as part of the Maesa Magic Incubator!✨

Being on the Harvard campus, surrounded by some of the most inspiring beauty founders, industry leaders, and fellow entrepreneurs, was one of the most surreal experiences of my journey so far. I soaked in every second — from thought-provoking lectures to powerful conversations that reminded me why I started The Potion Studio in the first place.

As a founder building a clean, textured haircare brand rooted in self-care, simplicity, and inclusivity, it meant everything to be in a space that valued forward-thinking leadership and celebrated diverse voices. I walked away with new tools, fresh ideas, and most of all — a full heart.
