 THE POTION STUDIO

Founded in Los Angeles, California, in 2021, The Potion Studio is a haircare brand designed to elevate, celebrate and simplify your textured hair care journey. Our products are thoughtfully designed for the modern individual on the move whose hair care needs adapt to different environments and lifestyles.

Each product is derived from our Founders’ own story experimenting to find the perfect ‘potion’ on her natural hair care journey. Today, our formula was created with the multifaceted curly person in mind because keeping it fresh and convenient is key. We believe everyone deserves handcrafted products infused with natural ingredients that actively hydrate and strengthen their curls and coils even while wearing protective styles.
 

ABOUT THE FOUNDER, AZIZA

                                 

Growing up in Suriname, an ethnically diverse country, with a Caribbean mother, & Palestinian father, I knew there had to be more to life than the straight hair I was seeing in the mainstream media. I started to experiment with different products & ingredients, to create my own hair ‘potions’ at the young age of 12. After moving to Amsterdam to pursue a degree, I noticed my hair changing due to the new climate, and again started to experiment with different potions that worked so well, friends & family eventually started asking for their own. After my own personal hair journey, I’ve come to the conclusion that a lot of natural haircare brands aren’t as inclusive as they should be. Textured hair is not tied to sexuality, race, nationality or skin color. Everyone’s hair care journey is different, but oddly enough, also the same. The Potion Studio is for everyone, but most definitely for all of us who are still on our natural hair self care journey.
